sure - - knitting is part of homesteading, green living, sustainable lifestyle, homebodiness, not consuming (well, except for purchasing the yarn). It's a swell green habit in many ways and certainly part of the homesteading/farming tradition - even when the fiber isn't from your own farm.
Besides - I want to know what your knitting. I want to blog about mine but I'll be giving then all the recipients will know what they are getting for Christmas.
I think anything like this that falls under the heading of "self-sufficiency" qualifies on a homesteading blog.
