There is no room in my freezer for 70 lbs of pork! Luckily, Sean is going to share with me and hopefully another friend will buy some pieces so maybe I'll have 30-40 lbs to store.
Sean helped to take inventory today. I need help thinking of menus to use this food over the next 6 months! If you read this blog, you MUST send me an idea or two. With all this food in the freezer, I'm also thinking I should invest in a small generator, just in case.

Here's an idea - send the pumpkin foccacia to me! (jk). How about picking up a soup cookbook from the library and making a different pot of soup with your various meat and veggie ingredients each weekend for weekday lunches? Also, you could make holiday pies from your fruits.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Cindy -- and want that pumpkin foccacia recipe!
ReplyDeleteYour inventory reminds me of chatting with a lady who keeps her inventory on the door to her freezer (I was saying I should write what I am freezing, and the date, on a nearby chalkboard).
Maybe one day! Mostly I know what I have -- things like fresh squeezed lemon juice in "ice cubes" in a baggie, and tablespoon-sized slices of ginger (there was some enormous, super-fresh ginger on sale, and a lady in line told me it will freeze well).
